Day 1: Your Journey Begins in Lucerne
Welcome to Switzerland! Arrive at Zurich airport and make your way to Lucerne on a direct train from the airport. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel for a three-night stay. In the evening, stroll along the famous chapel bridge and enjoy a lake-side dinner with a view. (Overnight in Lucerne)
Day 2: Day Trip to Mount Pilatus
Today, enjoy a trip to the top of the steepest cogwheel railway in the world. First, enjoy a scenic hours' steam cruise on Lake Lucerne to Alpnachstad where you then take the 30-minute ride which has an average gradient of 35%. The Cogwheel Railway operates between May and November, whilst at other times you can reach the top via a spectacular aerial gondola and cableway. At the top, you will find the historic Pilatus Kulm Hotel and restaurant where you can enjoy refreshments, or you can enjoy one of the numerous walking trails. After soaking up the wonderful views, make your way back down the mountain via the jaw-dropping gondola and cable car to Kriens and a short bus ride to Lucerne. (Overnight Lucerne) B
Day 3: Day Trip to Mount Titlis
After breakfast, take a 45-minute train ride to Engelberg and then climb aboard an eight-person gondola up to Stand. Once you reach Stand, you will board the Rotair (the world’s first revolving 360-degree cable car) for the journey over the dazzling Titlis Glacier up to Mount Titlis. Up at the top, you will find an array of tourist attractions and restaurants, an adventure park, alpine flower trails, and Europe’s highest suspension bridge known as the Cliff Walk. Be sure to take out your camera to capture the incredible views! Following your day's adventure head back to Lucerne and perhaps enjoy some fondue in the old town. (Overnight Lucerne) B
Day 4: GoldenPass Express to Montreux
This morning, take a direct train from Lucerne to Interlaken; where you will board the famous GoldenPass Express. Traverse lush meadows, charming villages, and the pristine waters of Lake Geneva, as the train gracefully ascends through alpine landscapes, providing a mesmerizing spectacle of nature's grandeur from Interlaken to Montreux. Enjoy a pre-booked Apero-food plate to enjoy as you take in the scenery and avoid having to wait for a delicious lunch! (Overnight in Montreux) B
Day 5: Day Trip to Château De Chillon
Embark on a captivating day trip to Chteau de Chillon, where the medieval fortress stands sentinel on the shores of Lake Geneva. Surrounded by azure waters and framed by the towering Alps, the castle's centuries-old architecture and dramatic setting create a picturesque scene, transporting you to a bygone era of Swiss history and lakeside splendor. Day 6: The Chocolate Train from Montreux
Embark on a delectable journey aboard the Chocolate Train from Montreux, winding through Switzerland's idyllic countryside. As the train meanders past rolling green hills and quaint villages, the scent of Swiss chocolate fills the air, creating an irresistibly sweet atmosphere on this scenic expedition through the heart of Switzerland. The journey begins with a train trip, by Belle Époque carriage if you wish, from Montreux to Montbovon. A comfortable bus then takes over. First stop: Gruyère's. Here you will discover the secrets of the production of this world-famous cheese before setting off to conquer the medieval town. In Broc, finally, the famous Cailler chocolate factory will open its doors for a fun and engaging visit. To top it all off, there is an irresistible tasting. (Overnight in Montreux) B
Day 7: Montreux to Zurich
